Brushed aluminum sheet is a manufacturing process in which the aluminum plate is repeatedly scraped out of lines with sandpaper. The technological process is mainly include three parts: deesterification, sand mill and water washing.

How to clean brushed aluminum?
Due to the special finish of brushed aluminum, it is important to pay attention to a few things when cleaning. By regularly using an anti-scratch cleaning pad on it and deep cleaning the residue, you’ll keep gleaming like new.
- Wipe off surface residue with a damp cloth. Use a damp rag or paper towel to remove any accumulated dirt or dust on the brushed aluminum surface.
- Scrub with a scratch-free cleaning pad. Do not scrub brushed aluminum surfaces with matte copper or steel wool pads. Use a scratch-resistant cleaning pad or sponge instead to remove stubborn dirt. Add a drop of dish soap to the wet pad and wipe off the dirt.

How to brush aluminum?
- Wash your aluminum piece with warm water and dish soap. Use a sponge to get the surface clean of all dirt and grease. Rinse thoroughly.
- Wet the surface and scrub with a Scotch Brite scouring pad. Scrubbing the same direction at all times.
- If there is a clear coat on your aluminum, you will have to scrub all the way through it and continue scrubbing until the surface of your aluminum achieves the brush appearance you are looking for.
- Wash the item with running water and pat dry.
- Apply a coat of beeswax. Rub it in thoroughly with a clean towel.
- Allow it to set for 10 minutes.Then buff it with a clean towel. Apply a second coat of beeswax and buff once again.
