What is a PE protective film?
PE protective film is a layer of plastic film attached to the aluminum material. It is mainly to protect the manufactured aluminum material from being damaged during the whole process of loading, unloading, inventory, transportation, processing, and installation.
After we install the aluminum material later, we will tear protective film off. In order to make aluminum material surface smooth which will have the actual effect of the decorative design.
What are protective films made from?
There are two main components of PE protective, polyethylene and acrylic glue. We can use the protective film under normal conditions. It’s harmless to the human body and environmentally friendly.
Is it necessary to remove protective film before use?
Protective film is suitable for protecting the products from any pollution, corrosion, damage, etc. During production, processing, transportation, storage and use, it’s aim to protect the original shiny surface of the product.
When we receive the product or prepare to use the product, we must tear off the protective film on the surface.
Taking aluminum plate as an example, aluminum plate is apply in many industry fields. It can be installed in a space with high temperature, such as in a high temperature kitchen. If we don’t tear off protective film, the film of the aluminum plate will become soft, wrinkle, blistering, etc. At last these phenomena affect the appearance and performance of the entire product. For the long-term practicability of the aluminum plate, we must torn off the protective film.
How to remove protective film before use?
Generally, we should remove the protective film within 45 days after we use it. If the aluminum plate is not used for a long time, we recommend that you don’t use alcohol or other cleaning agents. You should be patient and tear it slowly by hand.
We can also use a sharp knife to make some parallel marks on the protective film. It’s about 10 cm width of the parallel lines. But this should be careful not to scratch the protective film. Otherwise it will scratch the surface of the aluminum plate.
